The Jeep TJ has the same problem that many other vehicles do. When you replace your tail lights or turn signal lights with LED lights, the flasher relay goes crazy, thinking that you’ve got a burned out light bulb. This is because the resistance on the LED lights is so much lower than on a standard filament bulb. You could fix this by adding a resistor inline, but that’s silly, as it negates one of the benefits of the LED light in the first place, efficiency!
There are two different flasher relay modifications for the TJ, depending on how old your TJ is. Pre 2001, you’ll find these instructions helpful:
